Second meeting with potential partner

Yesterday I had my second meeting with my potential business partner.  It went as planned and now the interview process with my employees will start. My first company and with employees. Nice start if everything goes as planned. 

I'm in the airport now waiting for takeoff. Have a nice morning ladies and ladyfriends!

Weekend and San Fransisco

You might think I'm quite lazy not posting on the blog but had stuff to take care of. Yesterday was a nice day. A friend had a birthday party and we laughed, we got pissed of at each other and some drunk friends started wrestling me and put some crisps in my pants. Pretty much the usual stuff.

Today I took the tour bus in Stockholm. Not to explore the city but to hang with a nice friend. He complained about everyone in his way while he was driving the bus. I was quite entertained. They should do a show about his day and film it.

To something else. I'm going to visit an friend at San Fransisco for two weeks. This trip I will call vacation compared to the one in Egypt. 1 day left and hopefully I will visit the American continent for the first time on Tuesday.

Last day in Egypt

Couple days ago me and my cousin tried to enter the museum in Cairo but failed because of his expired visa. Next day I was planning to try to visit the museum by myself but before that I took care of some stuff.

Went to UN to see why they aren't helping my sick aunt  because she's a refugee and she has the right for help through them. I got help from a nice person I met in Cairo that worked for UN and put some pressure on them to do something. I went to the Swedish embassy too and they will help to make something happen through UN. I probably gave them at UN some headache and if I did I'm happy of my achievement.

After that I took a taxi to the museum but the traffic was so slow that I walked instead. I found out big gathering of people along next to a building so I stopped and asked some people close by if it was an University and it was. I went in to check it out. Started talking with students and it was nice. 5 min later a guard came and asked what I did there and told him I was studying my master. He asked me for my papers and I just showed my passport and told him I didn't have some with me. The guard escorted me out :)

Bribe the police

Today I was supposed to visit the museum in Cairo. Me and my cousin went to the checkpoint outside the museum and my cousin got stopped. His visa expired couple weeks ago and the police were going to take him to jail and deport him to Syria instead of letting him in. We took a walk with the police and they wanted a bribe. I only had 50 Egyptian pound and they weren't satisfied but got tired of us, took the money and let us go. Will try to visit the museum tomorrow instead. 

On the way home we saw a funny fight between two mini bus drivers. They argued about who should take the first group of passengers and it got to fistfight. 

Giza pyramids

Yesterday I went to Giza to see the pyramids. At the entrance they charge much more for tourists so I got annoyed about that. My cousins that came with me told me to shut up and go in as one of them. I did so until we got the tickets. Then I put a big smile and told the cashier behind the desk that I'm swede and went away to the gate with the tickets! In their face! 

A guard came up to me and stopped me because of that so we had to give him some pocket money to let me go in :)

The pyramids are quite impressive. Took pics and test drive the camels and donkeys. After that they took us to shops with the standard procedure "getting ripped" but I got myself nice perfumes which pharaoh used and some nice papyrus paintings. Will post pics later.

Now I'm heading to museums.

Poor people

Everywhere you go you find beggars. From children to oldies. How some survive is a mystery. 

Went to visit my aunt in hospital today but we got denied entry because someone died in the room. Wasn't my aunt but she doesn't have so much time left. Came back later to visit. It's hard to see someone in so much pain and not be able to do anything about it. It's hard to enjoy my visit. I did eat nice food today but got reminded my aunt can't even eat because she has hoses from respiratory going down her throat. It's worth the trip but will take with me sadness when I leave because it's probably the last time I will see her and she isn't able to talk to me. 

Egypt

It has been over 5 years since I saw my cousins and didn't expect I was going to see them as refugees in another country. My main reason for my visit is to see my sick aunt. It will probably be my last time I see her and I've have never seen some one taking care of their mother like my cousins. My cousins showed so much respect towards my aunt and everyone did try to help her go through this as comfortable as possible and give her so much kisses on her face and feet. That's respect and love! I will try to enjoy my stay too. 

Cairo is the most dirty city I've visited. Even the war zone in Damascus is cleaner. 

I hope I can get to the beach for a dive too. 

Heading to the land of of pharaohs

It's a place with history and I'm going to travel to Egypt on Saturday. It's not a planned trip nor is it vacation. Going to visit my sick aunt. To many years have passed since I last saw her and I hope it wont be the last. We need to remember that when we wake up for the day it can be our last.

If I get time over I will try explore Cairo, pyramids and maybe head to the Red Sea and dive. I've heard that Egypt got nice places to dive in.

Planning my business

Hi guys!

I've been busy lately so haven't been active here. But I had made lots of progress with my start-up. Couple of days ago I went on an job interview and I did go because I didn't have anything to lose. I had plans for creating a company so it may collide with what the employer had to offer. During the interview I told about my plans and employer was positive about it. He even told me he hire subcontractors and we found we could probably help each other. The employer have contacts in the business and that was what I needed most to work on before but if he can help me it would be awesome for both. I can focus more on work and already have vision employing if it works my way. It went better than expected and I got over 100 mails with positions that I should check. It felt really good that I registered my company today!

Games and meditation

Yesterday I had lots of fun. Didn't plan for anything but maybe you enjoy it most when it's not planned?

Went out with friends as usual and nothing special about that expect we started talking with some opera singers. They were nice and social so my friend invited them home for after party at his place. It as the time went we had more fun and started play a quiz. The quiz is to only ask questions and not answering or repeat same question to the one its directed to. It doesn't sound as fun so you need to test it but we enjoyed that game and it was entertaining. After a while all got tired and from nowhere all seemed laying down on the floor looking at the roof so I put on some relaxing yoga music in the background for fun. We started to act like it was a yoga session with one of us leading the session and we succeeded each other as yoga instructors. We sucked at it and that is what it made it so fun to do it.

You might think it was boring but that was a night to remember and it was yesterday.

Bono in my nightmare

I had a nightmare yesterday. Bono from U2 stole my Lamborghini. It might not sound scary but he fucked up me sleep and I woke up haha. I don't know how the dream started but I was just driving and Bono came up alongside the car when I was driving slowly past him. He tried to open my door but I luckily escaped before he could do that. The stupid thing was that I drove around the block in circles to pass him again. I don't know why but dreams are stupid sometimes. Maybe I wanted to test my luck?

Contacted Bose

I wrote about my pink earphones that I got as replacement in an earlier post. I had to chose pink because it was the only one the store had that had an armband that fit iPhone 5S. The store only had green armband that fit 4S. I wrote that I will probably talk with Bose if they can exchange my pink set to this green one with an armband that fit an iPhone 5S. 

Most of my friends wouldn't even try to ask because they are pussies ;) They would probably think it won't work. Bose didn't exchange my earplugs and the rest of the set. But I didn't get empty handed. Bose told me to get the color I wanted and they would send me the green armband that fit 5S. So I changed to the green earplugs.

Regret

I regret that I sometimes wasn't open to people how I felt and that they wasn't open how they felt about me. Things would have been so much easier.

From sad memories to good ones. I was at a budget-meeting today and one participant asked the lecturer about his degree and most of the reply I have already forgot except the part where he said: In Uppsala they read, in Gothenburg they study and in Lund they get laid. The lecturer is an old man and he had a big smile on his face. He's from Lund :)

How to socialize

Went out with friends and one of my friends is really good starting conversations with people so asked him if he could show me in action and instead he got himself thrown out of the pub under 30 seconds. I haven't laughed so much in a long time :)

Not much to say

Haven't done much lately. I've been eating and watching movies and lifting weights. Not much to write in other words.

Couple of weeks ago a tree fell after breaking in two pieces. In Sweden we wait until it breaks and maybe kills someone before we take action.

This tree is still standing for now...

From falling trees to my volume button on my in-ear plugs stopped working and the store didn't have an replacement because they stopped selling the product. They offered me a similar product but didn't like what they offered and they finally gave in and let me upgrade to the real deal from BOSE. The bad is they are purple. I had to chose it because purple was the only one with an armband that iphone 5S could fit in that they had. 

I will probably be asked many times why I choose that color. I will try to contact BOSE and see if they want to help me when I get my earplugs. I will try atleast!

From idea to entrepreneurs - Start-up meeting 2

Today or more correctly yesterday since it's a new day I had a meeting about how to take an idea and make business from it. It started me getting stuck on the subway...

When I came couple of minutes late I thought I entered the wrong room. It was filled with women. Thought I entered a meeting for women creating companies. I know there is meetings like that but it was the right place. Over 80% of the participants were women. I was surprised. Didn't expect that coming. Asked why and got the answer that men probably just do things and fix later while women are more careful and plan more before taking the step.

Besides that, I saw the movie Prisoners starring Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal. It was good, but not WOW-good.
